You recite from memory and the app follows you word by word. Each word is revealed as you reach it and marked as you go: green for a word said clearly, amber for one that was unclear, red for a word that was skipped. A blue box marks the word you are on, and tajweed feedback is shown alongside the tracking.

All of the listening and grading happens on your own device.

تتلو من حفظك، ويتابعك التطبيق كلمةً بكلمة. تظهر كل كلمة عند وصولك إليها، ويوضع عليها لون: الأخضر لكلمة نُطقت بوضوح، والكهرماني لكلمة غير واضحة، والأحمر لكلمة تُركت. ويحدّد الإطار الأزرق الكلمة التي أنت عندها، مع ملاحظات على التجويد أثناء المتابعة.

Only once. Tasmee needs its files on the device before the first use — open Download Manager → Tasmee and download them. It is a large download, so use Wi‑Fi and keep the app open until it finishes. The download resumes if it is interrupted.

After that, Tasmee works fully offline. No part of your recitation is sent anywhere.

مرّة واحدة فقط. يحتاج التسميع إلى تنزيل ملفاته على الجهاز قبل أول استخدام — افتح مدير التنزيلات ← التسميع ونزِّلها. حجم التنزيل كبير، لذا استخدم شبكة Wi‑Fi وأبقِ التطبيق مفتوحًا حتى ينتهي، وهو يستأنف من حيث توقف إن انقطع.

بعد ذلك يعمل التسميع دون إنترنت تمامًا، ولا يُرسَل أي جزء من تلاوتك إلى أي جهة.

Tasmee has to hear you in order to follow your recitation. The audio is processed on the device only. If you decline the permission, Tasmee cannot start; everything else in the app keeps working. You can grant it later from your phone's Settings → Apps → With the Qur’an → Microphone (Android), or Settings → With the Qur’an → Microphone (iPhone).

يحتاج التسميع إلى سماعك ليتابع تلاوتك، ويُعالَج الصوت داخل الجهاز فقط. وإذا رفضت الإذن فلن يبدأ التسميع، وسيظل بقية التطبيق يعمل كالمعتاد. ويمكنك منح الإذن لاحقًا من إعدادات هاتفك: الإعدادات ← التطبيقات ← مع القرآن ← الميكروفون (أندرويد)، أو الإعدادات ← مع القرآن ← الميكروفون (آيفون).

Tracking has to tell a word you recited quickly apart from a word you left out. Where that line falls depends on your voice, your microphone and how fast you read, so it is measured from your own recitation rather than assumed.

You recite three short surahs, one at a time — about a minute in total. Nothing is uploaded; the recording stays on the device and is used only for that measurement. Quick recitation mode requires it. You can calibrate again at any time from Settings, and it is worth repeating if your pace or your surroundings change a lot.

على المتابعة أن تُميّز بين كلمة تلوتها بسرعة وكلمة تركتها، وموضع هذا الحدّ يختلف باختلاف صوتك وميكروفونك وسرعة قراءتك، ولذلك يُقاس من تلاوتك أنت لا بالتقدير.

تتلو ثلاث سور قصيرة، واحدة تلو الأخرى، في نحو دقيقة. ولا يُرفع شيء؛ فالتسجيل يبقى في الجهاز ويُستخدم لهذا القياس وحده. ووضع التلاوة السريعة يتطلب المعايرة. ويمكنك إعادة المعايرة في أي وقت من الإعدادات، ويُستحسن ذلك إذا تغيّرت سرعتك أو المكان الذي تتلو فيه تغيّرًا كبيرًا.

• Recite in a quiet place — background noise and other voices are the most common cause.
• Keep the phone within arm's reach, with nothing covering the microphone.
• Run calibration again from Settings, especially after changing device or reciting position.
• If you are using quick recitation, try normal speed first.

If it still happens, write to us with the surah and page — that helps us reproduce it.

• اتلُ في مكان هادئ؛ فالضجيج وأصوات من حولك أكثر الأسباب شيوعًا.
• اجعل الهاتف قريبًا منك، ولا تغطِّ الميكروفون بيدك أو بغطاء الجهاز.
• أعد المعايرة من الإعدادات، خاصة بعد تغيير الجهاز أو مكان التلاوة.
• إن كنت تستخدم التلاوة السريعة، فجرّب السرعة العادية أولًا.

Tasmee runs a speech model on the phone itself, and some older Android devices do not have the hardware to run it. That message means the app has checked and ruled it out, so re-installing will not change it. Everything else in the app works as usual on those devices.

يشغّل التسميع نموذجًا صوتيًا داخل الهاتف نفسه، وبعض أجهزة أندرويد الأقدم لا تملك الإمكانات اللازمة لتشغيله. وظهور هذه الرسالة يعني أن التطبيق تحقّق من ذلك، فإعادة التثبيت لن تغيّر شيئًا. وبقية التطبيق تعمل على تلك الأجهزة كالمعتاد.

Three tabs:

• Mushaf — Aadi (Standard), Aadi (HQ), Nastaleeq (Indo‑Pak) and Tajweed page sets.
• Audio — recitations, chosen per reciter.
• Tasmee — the on‑device files used for recitation testing.

Mushaf pages and audio can be downloaded whole, or by juz, by surah or by page — and deleted the same way when you need the space back. Each tab shows what is already on the device and how much it takes.

ويمكن تنزيل صفحات المصحف والصوتيات كاملةً، أو بالجزء أو السورة أو الصفحة، وحذفها بالطريقة نفسها عند الحاجة إلى المساحة. ويعرض كل قسم ما هو منزَّل على الجهاز والمساحة التي يشغلها.

• Check the connection, and prefer Wi‑Fi for the larger downloads.
• Make sure there is enough free storage on the device.
• Keep the app in the foreground while a large download runs.
• Tap retry — downloads continue from where they stopped rather than starting over.

• تحقّق من الاتصال، والأفضل استخدام Wi‑Fi للتنزيلات الكبيرة.
• تأكد من وجود مساحة كافية في الجهاز.
• أبقِ التطبيق مفتوحًا أثناء التنزيلات الكبيرة.

No. Updating keeps everything you have downloaded. Uninstalling the app removes it all, and it would have to be downloaded again.

لا. يحتفظ التحديث بكل ما نزّلته. أما إلغاء تثبيت التطبيق فيحذفها جميعًا، وسيلزم تنزيلها من جديد.

The hifz tracker is organised as Juz → Surah → Page, so you can mark progress at the level you actually memorise in, and it shows statistics for what you have covered.

متتبّع الحفظ مرتَّب على هيئة: جزء ← سورة ← صفحة، لتسجّل تقدّمك بالمستوى الذي تحفظ به فعلًا، مع إحصاءات لما أتممته.

There is no account and no cloud sync — your hifz records, annotations and settings are kept on the device. Uninstalling the app deletes them, so please contact us before uninstalling to fix a problem.
